SCENE 1:

Early Morning on the road just outside the house.

An elderly schoolteacher, Mrs. Chakraborty, dressed immaculately in a crisp cotton saree, checks her watch. Autos and Cabs rushes by, and on her phone a message buzzes from another app ride cancelled. Her brows furrow, she exhales, disappointed. For the first time in decades…she might be late. She opens the Rapido app and taps on book a ride.

Voice over:

“In 35 years, never late, not even once…but today...”

Transition: (Match Cut)

Her finger booking the ride, and the bike tyres showing beside her feet.

 

SCENE 2:

Seconds later in the same roadside.

A well-groomed Rapido Captain pulls up, helmet on. He helps to sit on the pillion seat, opens the footrest for her and gives her another helmet to wear. The ride starts.

Mrs. Chakraborty (muttering): “I’ve never been late. Not even during floods.”

Voice over:

“But today… the final bell might ring without her.”

Transition:

Focuses on her face and fades into a series of montages of the stage.

 

SCENE 3:

On the road, montages of the stage appear.

She delivered her farewell speech with a heavy heart water drop on her eyes, the students have put a banner: Farewell – Mrs. Chakraborty, Our Guiding Light.

And cut to reality the Rapido Captain confidently maneuver through the city traffic.

Mrs. Chakraborty (quietly): Can’t believe I’m late… today of all days.

Captain (helmet on): You’re not late, Ma’am. You’re right on time.

Voice over (bgm):

Soft piano music starts to play.

Transition:

The focus shifts from the Mrs. Chakraborty’s face to the captain’s face.

SCENE 4:

Outside of the school gate.

Mrs. Chakraborty about to dismount, the Rapido Captain removes his helmet.

Captain: Ma’am roll no: 12, Class 11 B, once you told me Success isn’t in the marks you score, it’s in the learning that you carry forward.

She stopped­­­- shocked, then emotional. She recognizes him.

Mrs. Chakraborty (voice trembling):

Sayan…You left after 11th…

Captain: Yes Ma’am, I dropped out after 11th, my family needed me. I never forget those words.

Mrs. Chakraborty gently places her hands on his head and blessed him.

Transition:

Cross dissolve and the Rapido Logo appear.
